TO ALL VICTIMS: Bay Area Energy has been a victim of spoofing. Spoofing is when a person or entity uses someone else's phone number to mask their true phone number to make contact to people to either make a prank or sell them on some sort of a scam. If you have been called multiple times about Solar panels or harassed please be aware that this is NOT Bay Area Energy. Our company is not involved with solar panels nor do we perform any kind of telemarketing let alone make cold calls to people on the national do not call list. We are working with the FTC and local police department to find the culprits of this on going scam. Next time you receive one of these calls, press *57 to trace where the call actually originated. I would not be at all surprised if the company that is spoofing your name and number turns out to be A1 Solar Power. They are notorious for spoofing the names and numbers of legitimate companies.

This call is from A1 Solar Power, a solar company based in Van Nuys, California (with six branches throughout the state: San Diego, Costa Mesa, Carpenteria, Petaluma, Concord, and San Jose) or one of its telemarketing fronts.
A1 Solar Power’s telemarketing fronts usually spoof both the Caller-ID name and the Caller-ID number or use recently disconnected numbers. Occasionally, they will spoof the active number of an unsuspecting victim.

NOTE: The offices of A1 Solar Power and Top Design are located just 2.6 miles away from each other in Van Nuys, California.
