Person called me about a job opening. I had no idea what they were talking about. Hard to understand them- person had an accent.

I just received the same type of call. The conversation was rather strained because of his accent. He is a recruiter (possibly calling from off-shore)

Got a text message from the number saying, "thanks for visiting out website! Call this number to claim your 100 dollar walmart giftcard! 8778618581

Got a call but could not here caller he called back twice. I recieve many tech recruiter calls so this would be a likely source.
