You don't have to renew it once a year, The list was made permanent. All you do by renewing it is open yourself for 30 day's of honest business's calling you on top of all the scammers!
o consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Sept 8, 2014: Extremely frustrated! I also received a call from this number. When I answered they held for sometime, there wasn't any sign that it was a robo call with a beeping sound. I said hello twice before the call was disconnected.
Once a year i renew my phone numbers on the Do Not Call list. I have already renewed this earlier in the year. Over the past month or so I have received and influx of not only phone calls but also spam and phishing e-mails. I really don't understand that even with all the computer security settings, security programs that we buy for the extra protection, phone and e-mail blocks with our phone companies that this callers are still able to bypass all of these settings. Reporting these companies seems to be a waste of time.
I have yet to see any resolve after reporting and sending complaints. These emails from those claiming to be from foreign companies or representing the FBI ect. It is obvious they are spam or phishing e-mails but it waste a lot of time to remove them from my e-mail box on a continuing basis. Who is ever going to set harsher punishments for these people.
I received several calls from 408-752-8892, no message no reply. I am on the do not call list. A lot of good it does, I get junk phone calls and text. These people need to do their jobs and stop this crap.
