After re-reading my post, I feel compelled to say that I misspoke and did not mean to suggest that the legitimate Western Union and others were the scammers, they are just being used by the scammers. But I still feel that ads do not belong on these threads, or are they just unavoidable? Wanted to clarify before I got replies calling me an idiot.
Automated message from Nicki Johnson of IRS needs me to call back due to a problem. They called the office number of the city fire department where I work.
I have read several threads referring to the IRS "pay or you are going to jail" scams, and a few other scams, and it just occurred to me that this 800notes site has advertisements for many of the companies that are the alleged scammers... like the one immediately above this post for Western Union. I saw one yesterday for Russian brides. Seems to me that this site should be the last place to insert ads, or am I wrong?
