Have gotten several calls from this number. I don't usually answer calls I don't recognize. I figure if it's important, they'll leave a message. No message ever left. Who is this?
I keep receiving calls from this number! It is extremely annoying! I answer the calls and no one responds. I finally called the number back and it provided me an opportunity to get on their do not call list by pressing the number 3. Thank heavens! Only time will tell if this actually works!
For the last few months, we have been getting crank hang-up calls and finally a threatening call from a number (408-796-3144) that only identifies itself on the caller ID as "California." Every time I have answered, I would get a hang-up, maybe once or twice a hostile "goodbye," or just a dial tone. Yesterday on 02/28/11, a harsh female voice snarled, "You will die." I do not care what the law says, that is a death threat and I am determined to track them down and name them if possible so I can put them in the hands of authorities.`
