Definitely a company trying to sell websites. Horrible English, and conversation got completely derailed when he said "we do web design for your site, is that OK?"...my response was "No, that's not OK". Apparently he didn't have response card for that as the line went silent for like 10-15 seconds, at which point I hung up and went about my day. Seriously though, I build web sites for a living, so you need to come at me with something better then that. What a joke. I hope no one falls victim to that half-[***] operation.
Yea I just called them back, and they said they got my information from 1and1. I had just registered a domain through them and apparently received my data through some means, hopefully not through 1and1 directly but most likely because it is public and not privately registered.
Did not answer because I did not recognize the number and it being out of state. Answering machine picked up and recorded a long loud annoying tone so I cut it off. Seconds later they called again. This time I picked up and no one answered. I am also on the DNC list. Doesn't seem to do any good. Go for it Jim
Folks, this is a scam... same website, many different names. I had this happen to me and they charged my credit card. Then I found a trail of sites they had deleted.... and yet another they put up as soon as the one before it was deleted after reporting it to the host!
The fine for calling a person who is NOT a previous customer of yours is $11,000 so please, put in a complaint on these people.
