Got called by this number on my cell several minutes ago. I am also in the 408 area code but didn't recognize the number so I forced it to my Google voicemail. Apparently no message was left. I used to get a fair amount of spam messages left on my AT&T voicemail when I didn't want to answer the call but a few weeks ago I found out how to forward all busy/don't answer calls on my cell to my Google Voice number. If the caller leaves a message it is transcribed into a text message that is automatically sent to my phone (and also appears in my Gmail Inbox). I can easily tell if it's worth returning the call. Before, I had to dial my AT&T VM, listen to the message and then delete it. Now, I just wait for a text message to hit my phone. I'm using the default Google VM greeting (i.e., "the Google subscriber you have called is not available") so my name is not provided to the spammers. Instructions to forward calls to Google Voice can be found here:
Just got a call from this number, didn't answer. This call came MOMENTS after a call from (503)457-1197, which I also didn't answer. No message left, I think this is not a coincidence that these two calls came so close together. I'm blocking them both, but I really wish they would stop calling. If I want solar, or internet service, or Netflix or anything else, I'll call a company, I won't be harassed by pushy salespeople or telemarketers in other countries. This is ridiculous.
Received call from this number saying they were doing notification calls for PG&E and said my electric rates were going up, then he hung up on himself. Probably selling solar.
