A Man called this morning and asked for me by name. He claimed to be a contractor working on homes "on my street" and wanted to give me a bid for some work. I asked how he got my number, since I am on the do not call list, and he said "Obama got rid of that list". I said "Oh, well why don't you give me your name and number?" He said, "would you like to talk to my manager?" and I said "sure" and he said, "Well, I am the manager, [***]!" and then he hung up. Wow! I was polite and then got called a [***]. SCAM number, for sure!
I just got a call from a fake 408-889-9998 number by some "contractor" saying that he was calling me back because a "Steve Anderson" referred us for some general contractor work. When I told him I had no idea who "Steve Anderson" was, he started getting belligerent. Then he ended the conversation by calling me a slimy b*tch. I tossed him back a few choice words, but watch out for these guys. The way they would treat any potential client is exactly how they'd treat your home.
NEVER say yes to any of these crooks... They record and sue for stuff that u supposedly ok'd. Just don't answer if u don't know the number... If it's important they will leave a message...
