I received the same phone call - missed it - called back - He went through his speech about the special offer..... I gave him all of my information (reason being- my roommate is moving out and I will be switching our PG&E account to my name)
After he hung up, I quickly looked for a thread like this one. Once I figured that it was a scam call, I called them back.. 15 times.. I called back and never said anything. They juggled my call from one representative to the next and then finally sent me to voicemail. I left a beautiful message full of pressing buttons to make music! I will be calling back non-stop for the next few days. It's just what they get for hanging up on me the first time. ;-)
Received call; at first there was as automated response saying to wait for a rep. Then a man with an accent informed me that he was checking to see if I qualify for some PGE program and asked how many people live in my house. Upon my questioning, he said that he is from a company called Soleeva and that he received my name from PGE.
He had mentioned www.pge.com/energysavings, which appeared to be authentic.
I recommend you not give them any information and use the real PGE site if you think you may qualify for something.
Just got a call from this number. I picked up but did not say a word (waiting for someone on the other side to speak) and waited for a about 5 seconds then got hung up. No message.
