I posted something to sell on craigslist, they texted me all interested and then sent me a txt 3 pages long said they would pay with a money order and when i receive and cash it they would send down a shipping company to come for the pick u. They said I could provide them with my mailing address and they will have the payment issued out today. It was just an ipod they don't need a shipping company, ugh...anyone know who this is???

Got the same thing today - replying to an ad for an exhaust system I put up on Craigslist... I smell a rat...
Same thing happened to me. I am selling a couch and love seat on Craigslist, this 409 area code text me and said they would send a check via fedex and pay me another $50 to hold it for them....totally weird. They just kept asking for my full name and address to send payment to. Who pays for furniture in full without seeing it first and not knowing the person selling it? I called the number and it said "please leave your name and we will try to connect you" and then it rang a few more times and said "the google subscriber that you have called is unavailable leave a message" so I did and they never called back. Scam!! The # is 409 571-9053 and they said their name is Danny. Just weird I don't understand what kind of scam it would be. What can they gain by having my name and address? Or maybe it has something to do with once I would have deposited the check? I don't know but it was weird I just stopped contact.
