Caller ID said Jasper, Texas. I let it ring out. Never left a voicemail message. Out of curiosity I called back. I got a recording saying the number was not in service. Definitely a scammer in my book.

Get yourself a Panasonic phone system that blocks 250 numbers. A system with 3 handsets is less than $100. Check Amazon.com for one. A nice feature is when these bottom-feeding losers do call back; there is NO RING to irritate you.
