I received a phone call from a foreign lady named Jane. She stated I would have to go to court for a legal matter. She also stated that I was in trouble. I called the number and received an answering machine stating she was Cooper's Lawfirm?
Some foreign person called my employment on Friday 04/16/10 and left a message that I have a debt and that i need to pay it otherwise. I will be sued for $4000. He left a contact number 409-440-4176. Today they called again and I actually talked to Dave Matthew's and he stated there is a lawsuit filed against me and that I have to pay. I asked questions he didn't provide me with any contact info. He said only if I pay can he provide me something in writing or if my attorney calls then they will give him the information. I told him I would call them back after I'm out of work and to stop calling me at work since it is against the law for debt collectors to harrass at work. He said ok m'am. I called the number from my cell phone but the number only rings and finally a voice recording plays you've reached Cooper's law firm leave a message. I just called a called back in my cell phone and a message was left. "Hi this is Cooper's Law firm, I just notice I got a missed call in my phone from this number and no message was left. Call back and leave a message. How can this company be legite they don't even a have a receptionist that answers the phone also they are not even registered with BBS.
