Someone from this # just called me at work and I sent the call directly to voicemail and no message was left. In the past I have received calls from both Dept of Law and Investigation and American Law Company and after checking with the police I was told it is a SCAM that is spreading through the U.S and not to confirm or give the caller any information.
I guy called today with a middle eastern accent from 409-497-9090, he verified my last 4, birth date and e-mail address and stated he worked for "american law company", and that there were 3 companies that are about to file action and that i violated a few statues ( that he named off), i inquired about what companies they were, he never said .He did say something about internet loans, which i did apply for a few a while back but it never went through and no money was ever recieved. He said that this company collects money for the companies that are about to file against me and he need to recieve $230 today or i can just let the courts work it out. I told him i didnt have the money, i would have to see if he was legitimate first, he said i had an hour to take care of it. I called a left a message to my lawyer and called a loan company i do owe and they had no idea about any of this and my info is still at there office. I in then have just reported to a fraud deaprtment they use. I called this guy back at the same number and asked him if he could e-mail any info he has on me in regarding the aligations, he said he will do that as soon as i pay him via debt card or credit card.....if this is a scam i want these people taken off the streets
They just called me and 3 companies have filed complaints against me and all I need 2 do is pay 100 and it will go away. After thinking bout it why would 3 companies divide 100 that's only 33 bucks but if I supposedly owe 200 or more 2 each company that doesn't make sense. I think its a scam.
An individual "Mark Johnson" called me from this number and left a message telling me he was from the Department of Law and Investigation. He said that I was in legal trouble, and to call back personally, or have my lawyer call. I know for a fact that I have no legal issues, especially none that would originate in Texas where the call came from. I did not call back, however just a few minutes later he called back. He made the mistake of asking for the wrong individual at my number. THIS IS A SCAM. Do not give any money or information. They receive your social and other information from online loan companies that sell your information. If you do receive a call from these people, go to the FBI website to report it, since they are impersinating a federal agency. Let's get these low lifes shut down.

I received 2 calls from this number today. Voicemail was left on my cell phone saying that they needed a return call from me or my attorney the "very second" I received the message. When they called at my office, I did not tell them who they were speaking to but agreed to take a message. Said it was the Department of Law and Investigation. After he talked for a little while, I asked the company name again and he told me it was an attorney's office. I asked, "Are you the attorney?" and he responded "yes". Said I would take the message and immediately googled the phone number. TOTAL SCAM!
