Who called from 4100000010

I got a text message from this number.  The message was supposedly from [email protected]

I went on the site.  It appears to be a legitimate French language news site.  Still, I didn't sign up for any news alerts.  Nor do I know anything about the organisation.

Computer to Cell messages can be stopped by replying with the word "BLOCK" if "STOP" and "Unsubscribe" don't work.  I've been successful with this.  Also, this number isn't just one computer.  These are messages from a variety of sources, routing through one of the SMS gateway servers.

Thanks !  Hope your anwer gets around the internet.  Lots of people are complaining about calls like this.

I got a text from this number that said "MSG: congrats winner/ 50,000.00 cash/ iphone4/ Facebook Anni Promo/ claim your prize/ email/[email protected]."  It also said that the sender's name was Robert Johnson.  I Googled the number 1 (410) 000-0010 and it looks like lots of other people are getting suspicious text messages from this number too.  It seems to be some kind of scam to collect information.
