These people are not scammers, although I hate their methods. They are from West Asset Management, and they are a collection company for AT&T (and perhaps other companies).
THey left a message this time - they've called perhaps 5 times over the last week or so - and this time left a message saying something about "accounts receiveable' and gave me a super long 'reference #" I called the # and couldn't make out the name of the company. West? something?
I just got a call too! Black woman...said..."This is _ _ _ _ _ from business asset investigations." Then she started to ask all sorts of questions. I didn't answer anything. But, I kept asking her who she was and what she wanted. Then I asked her to hold on so that I could get a pen to write with and get her info...and she abruptly said..."we will call again"...and hung up! And this was all on my cell phone. Probably just a telemarketer! Been blocked!
ok these ppl are scamers,hackers,and walking free scum that havnt been cought just yet,so watch out,they calld me too(410)202-0013 & (312)878-5578 these ppl have "bought" ur numbers from a listings of numbers when ever u sign up for creidt cards,loans,free stuff,or just registering personal info for a get away....ur personal information is not safe"and u should read fine print"usaly says in small letters"info will be shared with sister or affiliated Co."what this means is that" your info is not safe or is secure,so remember dont fillout stuff u dont know, and now just just imagn if they got ur number "what else do that have of yours"call ur local FBI to file a report them...
These people have called over THIRTY TIMES! Same MO as the rest of the complaints here except they say they are calling about my AT&T account. I called AT&T instead of them and there is nothing wrong with my account. I accused the black woman who called of being involved in an identity theft ring and she hung up. A "supervisor" called me back with in 5 minutes and became very agitated when I would not give him any information. I asked him if he has ever Googled his own caller ID number and he hung up on me and tried to call me back FIVE more times in the next hour. Take no calls from (410) 202-0013! Report them at once! SCAMMERS, IDENTITY THEFT RING!!!!!!!!!
