I just got a call too, nothing yet. I tried calling them, and it seems like a non working number. Number not in service, Verizon wireless announcement:4 switch 18 dash 7???? Number seems to be out of Essex, Md. caller ID showed Rosedale, Md.
Recording announces I won an all expenses paid vacation. The only qualification is possession of a credit or debit card. Giving my credit card number is just to be a formality.
Since "Do Not Call" listing, I estimate approximately 80% of my incoming calls are hang-ups or scams. My Call Block device is near capacity.
Suggestion: acquire a fax machine with a manual receive mode. Activate the fax if the Caller ID or conversation is suspicious. The fax mating call disrupts conversation, lasts for 30 seconds to interfere with call backs, and avoids an unnecessary message needing to be erased from the answering device. Another benefit: If activated during ringing, the caller's automated dialer may think it reached a dedicated fax line.
Another free cruise con. Not as intimidating sounding as the IRS lawsuit scam, and neither of these are convincing enough for me to give away any personal information for their illicit purposes. Must've had like three dozen of these calls this year from both the "IRS" *and* this company that wants to give me all these freebies for the cost of providing some personal financial information. Either way, I think it's the same con artists.
Another call from Essex Md and hey hung up on me again. They call every day and hang up and every time I blocked the number and then they called from a different number and when I block that number another call from a different number over and over and over and over again . Some one needs to figure out how to stop this from happening because they call our business phone 20 times a week and it's a waste of our time and money
