I received a call from this outfit at 5L35 p.m., yesterday, December 12. I pressed one to speak to the operator, and found the call answered by a man with either a German or Dutch accent who answered the phone with "This is Dieter or Peter. I told him that I did not appreciate his call and that my number was on the do not call list-- and at which point he hung up. I then performed a star 69 to identify the caller's number, and then a star 57 telephone trace. Afterwards, I called the FTC at 1-877-382-4357 and reported the call, providing all of the detail. In addition, I filed a written report with the FTC because this last time I was not given a complaint number. I want these people prosecuted. The only way to prosecute them is to report them to the FTC and other state and Federal agencies. The FTC recently captured an Asian-Pacific credit card scam ring. The only way these people are ever brought to justice is by reporting them
I got a call from this number today and on my caller ID it said Severna Park MD.I did not answer it either.I think as anyone can see the "do not call list" was most likely just a way for the government to get names and addresses confirmed because it certainly did nothing else.
