Automated message from Congressman John Sarbanes asking us to join his upcoming town hall. Not the first call about this same thing from this congressman.
Person calling left message on voice mail. Claimed to be calling from "Small Business Services" regarding my business account with BGE Electric. Which I do NOT have a BGE account with my business. I figure it's a scammer and have blocked all future calls from that number.
Voice Message left by Rich from Hess Small Business Services. Rich was calling from 410-571-4478 and asked us to call back to 877-423-0172, Extension #22163.
Same request came from Rich on 8/26/13 but he was calling from 315-627-7158 and asked for a return call to the same number and extension.
These numbers have been added to our DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL BACK LIST (now 500 or more phone numbers listed in numerical order by area codes).

This is NOT a legitimate business or telephone number. This is a ring of people whose mission is to deliberately harass people continuously. They use multiple numbers and devices to avoid being traced. If you block the number, they will switch to a different number, with a different name and pitch. Don’t fall for their hype.
Caller says he is calling from Hess Small Business Services and we are to return the call, as if it were regarding an account...on our family business phone. Caller ID says HESS Bus Srvc. I hate these kind of calls that sound official and intimidating. He will get only a message when he calls. There are so many harassing calls these days, it is not worth it to pick up the phone before screening the messages.
Voice message left by William from Hess Small Business Services. William was calling from 410-571-4478, which is an area code near us, and asked us to call back to 877-423-0172, Extension #22978. Obvious "boiler-room" noises in the background of the voice mail.
