Walter Brice .... same thing about the returned item from my bank! Calls every single day. Sometimes twice / day. Very annoying. At the end he says "Good Luck" LOL His 48 hours has turned into well over 4 months.
I also received a recording stating that I had a bounced check and to call the 410-630-4336 number with in 48 hours. I tried to call back to see who they were actually trying to get a hold of. Of course no answer. So I called the actual number of the company who called me 916-414-8678. A lady answered from some county arbitration office. I told her the situation and she looked my phone number up. The name she said was Nicole and I told her that I don't know who she is and that the phone number they had on the system I have had for over 12 years. She removed my number from the system.
If you receive this call and you know you don't owe anyone call the number that originally called you and let them know to remove your number.
