Admitted to calling names from directory and not using the DNC list or having a company DNC list. Harford County Chamber of Commerce should know better, but then, again, they are a business and feel that laws do not apply to them. Call and complain that you do not like telemarketers (you can get through!)

Harford County Chamber of Commerce is a business that operates to benefit of other businesses. It is masquerading as a not-for-profit organization ("we are registered as a 501c6"). This is not what was intended when the TCPA exempted charities. There are probably more "for the profit of the CEO" not-for-profit organizations than real charities. Since they were soliciting the purchase of tickets and not donations, this puts them and the Harford County Chamber of Commerce in the realm of selling a product. Calling numbers for the phone book is not following "...the call guidelines for those organizations". "The call you received was from the Zerbini Family Circus an independent family run circus..." Actually it was from an individual that DID NOT identify themselves by anything other than "Harford County Chamber of Commerce". That is not following "...the call guidelines for those organizations" and they DID NOT "..follow a strict set of guidelines to identify themselves...". I'll guarantee they do not keep a company do-not-call list.
