My cell phone did a short rang and then hung up like I had a missed call and the number was this one for Maryland. I have know clue who or what's in this state!
Before being redirected to an Atlanta insurance agent for a free supplementary health insurance quote by a company called First Quote Health at 858-926-1709, that switchboard operator asked for my phone number as part of a standard questionnaire. I never put my number anywhere, in any field, on any form, on the internet. Within an hour my phone went haywire and I the first two days alone I've blocked all these calls (and texts):

The calls continue, unabated. From everything I've read it will be easier to change my number than to continue dealing with this, and that's what I intend to do.
