Caller ID only says Maryland.  After numerous calls from this number, I *67'd the number back and a woman answered the call.  I asked her the reason for so many calls and she started asking for my name and number and so forth.  I refused to give her any information and asked why she was calling.  She stated that she is calling for AMVETS and wanted to know if I had anything to donate.  I said no and hung up.  If it were really AMVETS, CID would state AMVETS, so since it doesn't, I can only assume this is a scam call looking for free stuff, probably to sell in a thrift shop...similar to the calls I used to receive from CDSI or Central Donation Services Inc, which is (or was) a chain of thrift shops.  They also used to call for AMVETS.  But my guess is they never gave anything to AMVETS, but welcomed them into their thrift shops to BUY the stuff people had donated to them thinking it would be given FREE to veterans.  These thieves should be put in jail!!
