I also got a call from this number and it was regarding gaming with Verizon. Just a telemarketing call. I am on the do not call list but I believe if you do business with or have done, it is not illegal for them to call. I have Verizon as my provider. I don't care that they call me and they did identify themselves on my caller id, not like some other numbers that have called in the past.
They have been calling several times a day. Usually I ignore it and they leave no message. The few times I have answered, I am told that it is Verizon calling to tell me that FIOS is available in my area (sometimes a human, sometimes a recording) and trying to sell it to me.
I told 3 separate representatives that it is NOT actually available (the calls started coming within a week after techs were in my unit and couldn't tell their butt from their mouth, let alone fine wiring...) and to stop calling me.
I told them I am in the do not call registry and put me on their list. The calls keep coming and I have now had to call long distance to complain about it.
I am NOT happy.
This number has been calling my residence four to five times per day, time ranging from 8:30 AM to a little before 9 PM.....frequent calls, no messages
