Received 3 calls from this number today. It's a scam I asked what the company was and they will not tell u a thing. They keep trying to get ur info. It's total bs a legit conan will identify themselves
I received a call from 412-203-8326, they left a voice mail that only said 888-787-4608. I looked up the 888 number and everyone else says it is a scam. Has anyone received a call from this number?? I have been scammed in the past, so I am kind of hesitant on answering calls that I don't know without checking the number out first...
They change numbers faster than people change underwear. As reported in the 888 thread, this group is a known criminal enterprise possibly located in the Caribbean. They pretend to be debt collectors and try to scare you into paying. Now since they left a message, that is considered first contact, so they are required to do the following:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I have received numerous calls from this number, on top of similar numbers. They even call my dads home phone. I called the 888-787-4608 and some guy answer and stated that I was not allowed to talk until he finished going through everything. Stated that it was a collection agency called Global Service Group collecting on a payday loan for Vandelier Group LLC. When I stated that I was not going to discuss anything with him until I received documents, he literally set the phone down and walked away. I could here him and some woman talking in the background. After about 2 minutes he came back and started his sepal again. Again I stated I was not doing anything until I received documents and spoke with my attorney. He then stated, "I will process this for litigation and I wish you good luck." and hung up the phone. That was 2 days ago. I submitted a complaint to the BBB, FBI, and my local authorities. However, I still have received phone calls every 5 minutes from the same phone numbers.
