It's the central Blood Bank. They used to call from a number that would come up CBB, but I guess they smartened up and realized that noone answers their phone. If they would stop their annoying phone calls I would donate blood more often. They call every day, sometimes 3 times a day!
They call me often but I have NO desire to donate with them! They have the most unprofessional nurse staff (at Pitt blood drives). Not only did the nurse stick the needle in my arm incorrectly and cause problems with the apheresis process, but another nurse tossed a bag of blood in the biohazard bin by accident. He was fooling around with colleagues and I supposed he got distracted.
Also, my arm started gushing blood a few hours after the donation. The blood flow was so heavy that the bandage/cotton just floated off. I called the blood bank hotline, wondering if I should stop the bleeding myself or just go straight to the hospital, but the phone attendant was no help. He could neither offer advice nor find a medically savvy person to help me. In the end, I stopped the bleeding and vowed to stay FAR away from these CBB crazies!
