They just called me. Said they were looking for someone who had my address. Said the company was ACT. No idea who they were, they never called before, and I've never gotten any mail from them. Plus, the person they named has never lived at my address.

Just got a call from this number. They asked for a friend of mine by first name and I could hear lots of talking in the background (Call center???). I asked them for a last name and they provided the correct one. However my friend used me for a student loan reference and I have had similar calls in the past. (he is in default) I said I hadn't heard from him in years and they quickly apologized for bothering me and hung up. That's all that happened but I think it is a pretty safe bet they are collections. These collection companies are getting smarter. They used to call with bizarre or blocked numbers appearing on the caller id's. Now they are using a local number from your area so you'll answer. Bunch of @$$holes who need to get a real job.
