Attention Pittsburgh area: A phone scam outfit using the name GLOBAL SERVICE GROUP is calling local consumers from the above spoofed number. They claim to be a "mediation firm", however what they actually are is extortion-by-telephone. They will leave the number 1-888-297-4190 on your answering machine. If contacted, DO NOT PAY THEM OVER THE PHONE -- Turn them in to the authorities.
Called several times a day in the passed couple weeks. I never answer. They always leave a voice message saying to call them back, "that this is involving a personal matter."
