When the Caller ID starts with the letter "V" and then a long.... string of numbers I block it.
More than highly likely to be spam. Who the heck would wanna pick the phone up for this?
Yep - when a call comes through w/ the "V" and a string of numbers, I've found that it is connected to "Vexaros" (the parent company of MagicJack). Overseas scammers and spammers use the MagicJack tech. to make inexpensive/free blocks of calls to the US. It'll either come up with the "V" gibberish or just Vexaros as the default setting. Oddly enough, only 2 1/2 hours after your call, I received a call from the same # and the CID read: McKeesport PA. Must have spoofed the # multiple times...geez.
