I too am receiving these phones calls. It really had me scared at first. Then as I sat there thinking about some of the things he said, then when I had an unauthorized attempt on my card, I really started looking into the numbers. I googled the number and found this site. Thanks to all of you, I am not so scared about the gentleman. This number is John Wright and I have another one calling by the name of Mike Wilson. They are both heavy accented and sound the same. Since I found this site, I have been ignoring the calls, but today I received a voice mail threatening to call my place of work and it wouldn't be his fault as to what happened to me about keeping my job. I have not deleted any of these messages. Will it do me any good to talk to a lawyer or what? Someone please stop these fraudulant people. They have called from several different numbers too.
this call was from a John White. he had an accent. he claimed that he had an issues of my s.s and had my address. these people are scams. they threaten to take to court, which is illegal or have police show up at your resident or even call your work. so BEWARE! don't fall for it. good luck trying to report these idiots they change phone nubmber faster then a baby's diaper.
I got a message on my work answering machine from this same person and same number. He is threatening to call my manager. I will get fired for this- this is the second time he has called my work. He has even called the front desk because the receptionist told me about it... I tried calling the number back that he left, but there is no answer, only to leave a message. I'm really scared about getting fired if he keeps calling my work... I don't know what to do... Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions... thanks... I know this is a scam because I've looked it up in the past... I just need to get the calls to my work to stop immediately... please help.
They have called my number 3 times....threatening to take me to court...and they have my personal info. Unfortunately, I cannot find out who this number actually belongs to.
I have been recieving these same harrassing calls but the guy says his name is Kevin Williams.This psycho called me on my cell phone and stated he was calling me via confrerence call through my employer! And I happened to accually be at work at the time. He said that I was being investigated and that he was a reprsenative for the law firm taking my lawsuit to court. I told him to f... off and loose my number! I also asked to hear my employers voice on the phone and he said that wasnt possible and that I must return his call or else! I hung up. He called my cell phone 47 times after that for the rest of the day. Approx every 3 minutes! Left 5 messages with threatning to come to my house, contact my employer........ He even stated that he could have me followed and I would never be able to hide from him! Yesterday I got a call at home from a coworker that said she took a message from this same guy calling for me and he told her that I was in trouble with the law and my employment should be reconsidered!!! She wasnt even the manager! This is beyond illegal and I have gone to my local police department and spoken to them. However they tell me they cant do anything about it as they have no way to trace these kind of criminals. What can I do? They have my information and I dont know how or where they got it from. Now they are calling me using phone numbers from my area code so that I will answer the phone as he claims I am avoiding his calls. Someone tell me how to stop this please!!!
They can not fire you because of someone that's calling your job. You have nothing to do with that person. Even if you owe them money, they are not supposed to be calling your job!
