Getting non-stop calls from 412-897-8813 and other 412-897-**** numbers asking about a vehicle I've never owned asking to extend the warranty. I ask every time to be put on the do not call list and they say no. I keep telling them I don't own the vehicle but they never stop calling - 2-3 times a day for a day or two then they go away for a week.
Asked them to take me off the list. Was told, "There is no list, ma'am." Called back and pressed '1' to be taken off the list several times but to no avail.
It is in regards to my Kia and some sort of auto protection or something. They call me pretty much daily and this is a nuisance.
I work at a car (Toyota) dealership and had a customer of ours recently call in to say they were getting many phone calls (even mailers, in the past) from this number/company asking if he wanted to extend the warranty on his vehicle. The man on the phone from this # (412)397-8813 was very rude and told the customer "oh you wont do anything about reporting these calls!", etc. THIS IS A SCAM & the company is probably just phishing for personal information. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO.
No one from our dealership would call to harass a customer about their warranty choices. To add your phone number to the National Do Not Call List here is the # : 1-888-382-1222 (you must call from the phone # you wish to be added) Telemarketers (scammers) have 31 days from the date you add your number to the list to REMOVE you from their calling lists. Otherwise, further action can probably be taken if they continue to harass you after 31 days. I hope this helps.
Received a call from 4123978813. Did not get to it in time. Called back from my desk phone. When answered, they said "Auto Protection Center, how can we help you?" I aid, "I don't know, you called me". Their reply, "We did not call this number. Hang up and call us back form the phone number we called." Then they hung up.
