I Had a suspicion it was a scam... but now I'm positive.

I haven't recieved any phone calls from that number but I almost bought a car from "her". My roommate brought me an ad that he saw for a truck on CL and the message was almost exactly the same. A few things had been changed but the baseline story was there. Needless to say if it sounds to good to be true....it is. I'm still in contact with "her" trying to get it to a point where I can get some info to find and report "her". The following is the initial message on CL.......

1.  Never buy a car that you haven't inspected in person and seen the registration documents.
2.  Never pay for any asset you are buying by untraceable means.  And always, if you still want to buy it, pay in person and do it at a local bank.  Cashier's or Bank Check only, and make sure the check is  made out to the name on the registration papers.
3  Make sure the person you give the money to has an ID that matches the car's registration name.

Very dangerous to try to buy a car on Craig's list.  Very easy to lose your shirt.   African scammers LIVE off Craig's list.
