responded to an AD for an item being sold in Toronto, Ontario. This is the 5th time I got an SMS from a USA number even though its clearly a Toronto AD. Really fishy..
i recieved a text message in reply to a craigs list item i was selling. they wanted to purchase it and sent me an email address for paypay. Due to the fact that it was 4:30pm and i was waiting for payment confirmation the item would be shipped the next day. when i informed them that i had yet to recieve payment and would not ship till i did the person promptly called me a liar and started harrassing me to ship the item. When you call the number it answers as a Google number, so its most likely a scam. if you are contacted by this person do not ship or sell anything till you have payment in hand.
