Wells Fargo Insurance Center. Inquiring about the car i'm financing through Wells Fargo Financing. Well, I am not buying a car from them. I have NO idea why they called me. I am on the phone with them now to tell them to Cease and Desist.
If you refinance a vehicle with Wells Fargo, of course you have to prove that the vehicle is insured. What happened to me was that I forgot to go to my online INSURANCE account and inform them that my loan finance company had changed. (The insurance company lets the loan company know that you are insured, which they obviously cannot do if they have the wrong company on record.)
My insurance renews every 6 months so when WF hadn't been informed, they contacted me using this number. (Apparently a letter had been sent, but somehow I missed that.) All I had to do was go to ihaveinsurance.com and put in my information verifying that the car is insured, and then let my insurance company know about the refinance. No big deal but not something you want to ignore since if you don't carry the required insurance they can repo your vehicle.
Normally I HATE these kinds of calls but in this case I am grateful. I'd rather be pestered by phone than wake up in the morning to find my only method of transportation gone. I hope this post is helpful.
