One of 90+ SCAM calls I have received in the last four weeks (even after blocking 40+ different phone numbers from a dozen different area codes)--"pay day loan", "student loan forgiveness", "government grants" etc. Called my cell today, left no message. I blocked them.

Got a few calls from this number the past few weeks , it comes up on my call protect app on phone as "suspected spam" , I never anwser the calls because it says it's a spam call or possible scam. So today I decided to block My phone number (*67) and called this number back (412-430-3144) a woman with a slight accent , sounded like Indian or middle eastern/Arab , it wasn't bad she was easy to understand. I said "hello who did I call? What company is this?) She said "yes hi this is student services and were calling you to finish your deferment (can't remember that exact term she used , could've been defer, payment plan, refinance, or some other common student loan debt program or whatever to help pay off student loan debt) " I asked her again asking what is your company called ? And what did you say about loans? . She repeated the same (scripted like) anwser . I then proceeded to try to figure this out so I said "I just called this number , and how exactly do you know I'm looking for your company or services you offer? Also I know I blocked my number so exactly how do you know who I am in any way shape or form?" After saying that she immediatly hung up the phone on me. I may call back again blocked and see what happens or who anwsers. But I'm 100% positive it's some kind of scam or phishing scheme, or possibly something worse. The thing that assured me of this not only is the hanging up and response to my questions from her, but the fact that the company was "student services" which is such a broad term and is usually a dept. Of a school or something like that etc, as well as I thought it seemed to be the dumbest name to use if ypur trying to lie to somone or commit fraudulant activities
