Gor the same text here today. Funny if i had a srrest warrant i would have been picked up by militarypilice when i had to go and do work on base today lol. They background check so ill report as spam
it was a text msg saying i failed to appear in court .didnt say what for etc..., first of all you dont get texts when you do this you get mail or official notice via a law enforcement person. said i had to call certain number to get disciplinary actions to stop.
got a text just like scott's saying i missed a court apprearance and needed to call this number to resolve issues. text from 443 779 3656 Catherine Peters of Johnstone State High Court (which doesnt exist) telling me to contact attorney Steven A Newman.
I too got the same exact message. I have no dealings with anyone in PA. I have done no business etc. I responded to the text saying I was forwarding it to my lawyer and named his name. I demanded an apology. Lets see what happens but you are right. If we needed to appear in court there would be some sort of paper trail etc.
I just received the exact same message but text originated from (330)906-8414 - not going to respond as acknowledgement might get me hooked into some sort of perpetual cycle of texting. Glad I could come here and discover easily that this thing is a scam (which I had assumed to be true anyway for reasons you all listed above).
