When changing phones (or when employer takes it back) be sure to DELETE all contacts, notes, and messages of any type.  If you no longer have ties to the company, you should also erase your greeting. This should make it harder for telemarketers and scam artists to add numbers to their list of victims.

Advice:  also close down your email account if you can
