Received call on 9/24/16 from a company claiming to help vets. Their name is Amvets or they are collecting for them. I ask the caller if they are a non-profit agency. He went on to tell me how long they have been in business. I told him that is not what I asked. Are you a non-profit agency??? He said he is a paid fundraiser. I told him to remove me from his calling list. He wanted to send out a mailing to my friends and neighbors. I'm all for helping our Veterans but want to make sure they are the ones benefiting.

Do not give to organization that cold calls you like that - they are a rip off - let alone only giving very little $$ to the cause they are collecting for. Find a local charity to give to if you have too much money. By giving local you can see your donation in action.
