I got a call twice same thing. PA number Switzerland on the caller id. When answering no one would talk so hung up. Do not call back. Its a scam to verify real phone numbers and build a database for calls. Then scammers will use this data later and call back to offer some kind of BS services. If they do call back and your answer state "I am on the do not call registry. I am recording this call and ask that you remove my number from your dialer. If you call back you will be fined $1,000 per occurrence". Normally this will make them stop. If not since most of these calls are routed to cell phones just block the incoming number.
This is confusing. 412 is a Pennsylvania zip code, but my phone said the call was coming from Switzerland, so I didn't answer. Anybody else getting calls from this number?
I received a missed call on my prepaid cell phone this morning, and the cell phone would not allow me to return the call. I called back on my home phone and got music, then a message that all agents were busy. I called again and after the music got a person with a heavy middle eastern accent saying he was 'john smith' from (* couldn't make out a company name) and he asked who was calling. I asked again, who are you and why are you calling my cell phone, and again he said 'John Smith'. I replied, bull** thats a bogus name, you are no more named john smith than I am, stop calling my cell. I looked at my cell a few hours later and had received three more calls from this number. I am quite positive it is a scam so will simply put it on the reject list.
Received several missed calls from this number. Could not return the call on my cell phone, apparently due to call restrictions, so called on my voice line. A person with a heavy middle eastern accent said his name was john smith and I couldn't understand the company name. He asked who was calling, and I again asked who he was and why was he calling my cell phone? He repeated his name was john smith.. to which i merely laughed and said, bull**** you are no more john smith than I am, stop calling.
Later, I received three additional calls from the same number, which I did not pick up.
