just got the call, i answered, no one on the line. caller-id read "PUBLIC ASSist" (minus "ist", i kid you not).
i hope this isn't our government at work.
Our government may be a lot of negative things, but they do not auto-dial people without leaving messages. The phone # on your caller id is spoofed/faked, using a computer program, so that you can't really tell where the call is actually from. This is just a scam. Just block the # from your phone and don't ever answer. Don't even press any of the options given to remove your phone #, as this in itself is also a scam. It just tells their software that your # is live and valid.
