Got a call with this number as McKeesport, PA, let it go to VM, no message left. Used blocked number to call back and a man with a deep voice said "Thanks for calling back, we are calling from the Fraternal Order of Police and this call will be taped and monitored." Yea, ok.....if I want to give to the FOP, I'll go to their site not a scam artist. Nice try.
Received a call from this number in the late evening. Caller ID listed "McKeesport, PA." Left no message.
This so-called FOP charity has been bombarding us with calls over the past couple of weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if this was just another one of their numbers.
These callers are FRAUDSTERS. A significant portion of the money they receive goes to lobbyists (that's why I labelled as "political call") or other undisclosed, for-profit purposes: like paying the racket that keeps calling people like you and me. Contact your local police department on a non-emergency number or official website if you want to find out how you can legitimately contribute.
