Called me at least 5 times in first 2 months of 2011. Never leaves a voice message.
When I try to call back to verify who it is, a recording states the number is no longer in service, but then I get additional calls from the same number. Mighty fishy and bothersome.
Have been getting calls about every other day for several weeks. No messages. I don't know anyone in Pittsburgh area so assume it's a solicitor or scam.
THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM FOR ME. ACTUALLY, I LOOK FORWARD TO TELEMARKETERS CALLING.
THIS NUMBER IS NOW BLOCKED.

FACT 1 - the DNC list CLEARLY does not work! Everyone knows this...or should know this!
FACT 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work! A total waste of time. Done that.
FACT 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
FACT 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list – you’ll get laughed at!
FACT 5 - no "class action" law suits are being filed and certainly, none are being LITIGATED.
FACT 6 – contacting the BBB – LAUGHABLE!!! The BBB SELLS their ratings to the highest bidder, so your complaint will go unnoticed.

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset. Very, very convenient.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones. They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset. COSTCO & AMAZON SELL THEM.
They work beautifully! These phones also block “PRIVATE”, “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!
I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable. I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.
NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS. THEY CAN’T GET THROUGH!
