this is a phone number that scammers use to text out with.
Let's say you have an ad on craig's list...
People will text you from way out of your area to see if they can engage you in conversation that will eventually lead to them getting over on you. Usualy this has something to do with messages stating that they are fine with what you are selling and it's price. That they'll send a cashier's check, then
an "agent" of theirs to pick up the item. In my case, a guitar for sale in California, a request for my firm price on it from Pennsylvania.
guy contacts me off craiglist with this number to buy my car. asked me to send him a new picture and he would buy the car without looking at it after I get a check he wanted to send me to clear with my bank. [known way for people to scam off craigslist]. he also said after the check has cleared he will have somebody come pick it up. I told him no I need cash or we can go to his bank and get the money and he wouldn't respond.
normally the check will clear initially but bounce 2 or 3 days later.
