Most credit card processing calls or calls that start off with HELLO HELLO are because your deliquent on payments. On there Computers they call up to 10 Numbers at a time and take the first one that picks up. That's why sometimes when you answer there won't be anyone there for a few seconds or more. They find anyway to get a hold of you. Act like a friend or say it's about a job. This number calls me all the time about a bill I already took care of. The person knows everything about me. My SS# address and so forth. He says his name is Steve Cook but who knows if that's true. I know if he knew me in real life he would stop calling me.
If we could only find out there home phone numbers and call them all the time.
I got a call asking for me by name and then asked me if I knew a
Christine Owens who had put me down as a personal reference.
I asked if it was work related and they said no, thanked me and hung up.
I keep getting calls at home from this number and now on my cell phone. He is trying to collect a debt on a company that I am not associated with. How do I get rid of him?
This guy tells me his name is Jimmy Johnson. He calls my work when he has been told that I'm not allowed personal calls. He calls the after hours emergency number from my work and that goes to the president of the company. Jimmy Johnson has been advised a minimum of 7 times that my company does not permit personal calls......I answered his questions with; 1) the amount of money owed is grossly over stated so your informationis incorrect. 2) I have a payment plan with the organization and have been making the payments and they are cashing the checks. 3) He needs to go back to his client because his information is incorrect. He just keeps calling my work time and time again. does anyone know the laws about this unwarranted harassment?
