I believe you are right about the Post Gazette. I also just cancelled my subscription a couple of days ago and they have already called here 3 or 4 times.
I have repeatedly told them to not call me. I contacted the newspaper they were soliciting for and told them to tell Telstart not to contact me. On the most recent phone call, the telemarketer even lied about the price of the newspaper. Today I filed a complaint Form 1088 at www.fcc.gov.
But they NEVER stop calling!
It's been over a year and my husband is still getting calls!
We have asked repeatedly to be removed.
Isn't there something that can be done?
I called and asked to be removed awhile ago. It worked for a few weeks and then I have started getting calls again. I called the number back yet again and was yet again assured that I will be "removed immediately." I have been very polite and patient the times I have called. If I get a call again, I will not be as polite. I almost am thinking of canceling our Sunday paper, but I don't know if Pittsburgh Post Gazette really has any knowledge of these guys. They might be a scam organization. I didn't answer yesterday and they hung up on me today. And it is ridiculous that you have to look up a number to call to be removed rather than calling them back directly. Why are they calling if they are just going to "hang up?" That makes no sense and leads me to believe they are not affiliated with the paper.
