I got the email from Lisa Doherty offering a cashiers check for an antique I'm selling. Just about to go for it. Thank you. I will dismiss this offer.thanks

with internet and just fixed. Actually I am sorry that I could no
longer come to view it because I had a change in my work schedule and

I also used Craigslist to post 5 nicely priced vintage items and got an email from this infamous 'Lisa Doherty' where she wrote giving me a phone number (Pittsburgh area code; I'm in Iowa!) and that she preferred I replied via email. So I did! We had several exchanges where she elaborately stated how she is willing to buy sight unseen and her exact quote: "I am ready to make instant purchase. My mode of payment would be in "Certified Bank Check" via USPS or Fed Ex 1/2days delivery", And on and on adding the sentence "I will add an additional $30 so you can hold it for me till the check reach you". Same EXACT WORDING of the above post by Janne... on and on.
Parts of her emails made much sense but made me nervous and suspicious for various reasons. It became clear that she never stated that she would actually pay for packaging and shipping (and we are talking of a 66" crosscut saw, a 59" grim reaper scythe)- it dawned on me that IF I cashed her check and did not deliver, she could make trouble! So in my final email to her I stated in NO way am I cashing any check until I heard directly from the shipping company that they were hired by her to package and deliver (I also stated I'm checking with my bank for advice)... and finally I stated, "Sorry, I'm out unless you can completely satisfy my concerns". DID NOT HEAR BACK!
I admit being too gullible and wanting to move my five nice items led me too far with this HOAX. BE WARY.folks!
