Andrea Wells is a scam artist who drives around Oakland and other parts of Pittsburgh asking for money for gas. She gave my friend a story about being an attorney and she needed money for gas to get to the home near the airport, and she had a breakdown because her mom was in the hospital from a stroke. She even had her "son" in the car to make the scam look real. She was driving a black Ford Explorer, but she apparently drives in different cars. I called Pitt Campus Police and city of Pittsburgh police. and they are reporting it. They know her quite well, so if you come across her, call and report her to the police. According to police reports, she stays in her car and fakes a breakdown. She is “persistent and has even given her cell phone number and had people go to ATMs. Furthermore, she has commonly brought along a young boy of about 3 or 4 years old, whom she calls her son, to manipulate individuals into helping her out.
