I get several calls from numbers with a triple zero pre-fix. There is a recording that talks about reducing my credit card interest/debt as if they are my credit card company. They ask you to press #9 to talk to someone. I finally got a person after being disconnected on about 10 other calls. I lied and said I was interested in reducing my cc debt/interest to find out who they were. The man asked me how much cc debt I had and I told him $15,000 then said I meant only $1500. He hung up. I called the phone company again and this time they said to call *57. This will charge $1.50 to the CALL ANNOYANCE BUREAU but they trace the call. After three traces they do something about it. I don't know how well this will work if the callers use a different number every time. Also- when I try to report it to the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY the triple zeros won't allow it.

I live in Washington state and have been getting these annoying calls for weeks. I don't know where they get the idea that I need debt consolidation. They should do some market research and find their real target market. They are just wasting my minutes which I do not carry a lot of and make my phone ring at work or at night when I am asleep (I use my phone as my alarm) so needless to say it is very annoying. Going to the media has always helped me with scams and scum...what a waste of time!
I also live in Washington State and receive the same calls, I never answer and they never leave a message. Not sure if it will help but I went on the Do Not Call website and reported it.
