Just because there are supposedly 'legit' charities with similar names, does not make THESE calls legit. WHY would a legit charity take the time to SPOOF their number, as JR below indicates?
"sos.wa" charities? Is that for the State of Washington? OR for WA, DC? Many sketchy 'charities' based in DC are nothing more than LOBBYIST groups; they do little to nothing for the people 'on the ground' that are the supposed intended beneficiaries of the named 'charity.'
VERY FEW REAL, LEGIT charities resort to telemarketing anymore. Most know that it enrages more than it suckers into giving, with long lasting negative effects on the charity. Also, with SPOOFING now, and so many SPAM calls, most intelligent, educated, sane people opt out of giving over the phone for security/identity theft reasons, not to mention that fact that even 'legit' telemarketing (an oxymoron!) takes a HUGE CHUNK out of one's donation, enriching the telemarketing firm and its owners, and NOT the actual charity intendeds.
We got a second unwanted call from this number today. Already Blocked! Just came here to see how many new 'victims' they harassed.

I stand by my original post. This is a SCAM, likely one of the original REYNOLD FAMILY SCAMS, shut down & FINED in 2015.

However, the Multi-MILLION-Dollar Fine was commuted in favor of a payment of a MERE $75,000. That's pretty good for making MILLIONS in SCAMS. And, of course, NO ONE went to PRISON for this, as they SHOULD have (and would have had it been a petty thief!) so why not just start up again and continue where you left off?
