Have called my parents house twice, asking for me by my maiden name but will give no other information. Find this very unusual, I haven't gone by my maiden name in years! I called the number 413-391-1941 and received a recorded message saying it was United Processing.
This # has called me for three or four consecutive days. They advised that someone has filed a legal complaint against me, but refuses to give me details. I made them aware that I would contact the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General, and the local police department. They advised that neither can help me. They said I would need an attorney and I must contact there a law firm of which they gave an 800 number that once I googled reported as a scam. I told him if someone did in fact file a legal complaint against me to send me a subpoena. He said he would send someone to my door I told him not to my door but send it to my employer where I can visibly see it in public. Another woman just called me about the same thing this morning, it is very suspicious. I am Not sure of this company, I believe it is a scam.
I've been receiving the same calls, relentlessly, for days, to both my home and mobile numbers. I answered once, grilled the young woman as to what company she was calling from. She got a little flustered and really didn't have her script down very well. It was obvious from the background noise she was in a large telemarketing phone center environment. I got the same story as you about a "legal action against me" and offering information on a law firm I needed to contact. I hung up before getting any info on the law firm. She said her company was "United Processing Services" and they were based in MA. The only reason I answered the first time was they showed up as "UPS" on my caller ID and I was expecting a package. I've filed a complaint with the MA Attorney General. I think you and anyone else being targeted by this scam should do the same.

They have called me about ten times over the last few days last night I had a couple of beers in me so I decided to have some fun. He asked for me I said this is he, The guy on the phone starts in with his script." you are being sued, there is a legal proccess going against you". I asked from who and what Law firm do you represent? he tells me that he is just doing his job and he is a process server. I tell him that he is a SCAM telemarketer, thats it, " NO sir I am a process server and I need some information to get this to you" So me being the helpful person I am tell him, Why would I give you information? and let me give you some information, You are calling from Springfield MA. you have no authority in NH, Is your company a licensed proccess server in NH? (he tries to butt in) I say No sir let me finish. You must contact the local Sheriffs office who then will serve the summons, You cant serve over the phone, and by the way if you do call the sheriffs office please ask for Deputy (my last name). He then said good night sir and hung up.
