I hung up on this one today. I am getting weekly calls from a Massachusetts area code, and since I used to live there it doesn't seem unreasonable that I might get a call I don't recognize. I AM sick of trying to block them,,,the number changes every week!!!
I have been getting calls from them at least once a week for the last 6 months....always a different number because I block them after they call. They ask me about my 2009 Acura TSX....I never owned one, but my husband did....before we were married (it was totaled over a year ago). I was never on the registration, title, insurance....nothing! When I tell them I don't own that car and never have, they hang up on me.
I now live in New Mexico....2,200 miles away, but all my family still lives in Mass. Every time they call, I panic thinking its the number from a hospital. My mom was hospitalized last year, my father drives a truck for a living, and my grandmother is 84 years old. Every time these [***] call, I stop what I am doing and answer them, thinking something happened to someone I love....and every time its one of these [***].
How did they get my number? Why won't they stop?!?!
Caller ID said Williamstown, MA. I think these are the same a******s who have been spoofing a N. Adams, MA number for a couple of months. I finally blocked them all so they call back from this? I keep running out of available blocking slots because they never stop. And I never pick up. Makes you wonder why they bother.
